Very cool stuff, guys. I was wondering when GIS and avy control would meet - seems like another great application for GIS and remote sensing tech. I'm going to forward this thread to the team lead at my old job, a remote sensing Ph.D, I'm sure he'll be interested in what you're doing.

That would be very appreciated. Our number is on our website and he can ask for Ron Simpson (they are not going to know who Buzz is at the front desk ).

I spoke with another individual today about the big picture and am quite pleased at his response and willingness to help in this venture. Many of you know him, he is an intregal part of this community and then some.

Buzzy, I'd love to get involved somehow, even if it's access to any of the final GIS data.

    Keep me posted.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

As I get going more on this I would like to include as many of my GIS Maggot friends as possible. We all share a passion for snow and technology and I am doing my damndest to make it come together. A fellow Mountaineer will always be welcome.

I will keep you guys posted. This is not an overnight adventure, I am really putting my all into getting more technology into our world of snow.

What's the story on the sitch with the Teton Pass map? When they're available I'm sure I could help you unload a few. If you need any GIS/avy forecaster help from around here I know some people who would probably be willing to contribute.
