    LOTM Goodness

The folks at powder are the meng. Brand-Spankin'-New pair of AK ROcket Burning Hotties showed up at my door last night, S914s included. Mandatory 195 length, 86 in the hips, these babies are HOT. I'm used to skiing Volkl and these are quite a bit softer, but will no doubt chow crud and float pow. Softer flex will also make it easier to ski bumps (I live on the atlantic ocean).

All in all, I couldn't be happier. I love the new ski feeling. You know when you sit them next to you on the couch and just look at them. Then you get up and flex them out for a while, inpect sidecut, camber etc, then put them back down to ride shotgun on the couch again. Christmas came early at the Honc household. Thank you Powder Magazine.

I remember gonzo's post a month or so after the summit title "Honc's bad ****ing luck" or something like that, and all of us saying that sooner or later, karma would swing back in your favor. Glad we were right.

Skis couldn't have gone to a better, more deserving maggot!

    Thumbs up

    Congrats! Use them wisely.

So far, this post comprises the crew (I think) from our retallack cat....sweet.

Hey, cous, how about a big "fuck yeah" for the new boards!!

The softer flex will allow you to actually turn those massive beeyaatchs. I couldn't believe what noodles my B3's were when I got them but damn do they keep turning. Why don't you get on cheapfares or jet blue right now and book a ticket to ALTA on Dec. 12th to ski with us for the weekend and we'll break those things in...........

    I'll call you.

Stall--$198 round-trip to SLC from NYC. Very tempting. Where are you guys staying? Going rates on passes?

Sorry to cut you off on the phone the other day. Jamming on the deal-maker during the workday is not accepted here. I'll give a call today on my drive up to Maine.

Thanks to Big E and Gin for votes of confidence. Gin, define "wisely."

Seriously, Honc - do it, or you'll be one year older and twice as bitter when you finally do.

I already have two awesome buds heading out there with us - we are all staying at the Peruvian - they are staying in the dorms, which is like $140 for lodging, three kind meals a day, and your lift ticket. Also, telephil or another mag would potentially throw down couch space.

$198 round trip - c'mon man; your mom would want you to hang wit the family. Get your siblings to drive out from CO and we'll rage. talk to you later.
