    RIP Mr. Piggles

Gone to the big tank in da sky, 9 years not a bad swim. He sure could eat and shit a lot. Would bang his head on the tank lid and seemed to have a TUDE most of the time. Too big to flush, fertilize the flower garden buddy. His mouth was full of gravel so it may have been suicide.

I had to put a horse down two weeks ago. It was horrible and I miss him so much. Sorry Scotty. Loss sucks.

Yeah, he's fertilizing the back field now just like Mr. Piggles in your garden. I was lucky with the last one - he went like your buddy but this one I had to "help". Ugh. Not pretty. He did not go easy but it was the only decision to make and at least there was no doubt about it.

    Is that an Oscar?

Sorry for your loss, man. Fish are underrated.

I had a goldfish in a 10 gallon for 12 years. I could hear him gleaning shit and food from the rocks at night while I laid in bed. He would get all excited when you came close to the tank. He was gray as a baby, so we named him Gray Boy. He later turned orange. I don't miss the tank maintenance, but I miss hearing him spitting rocks at night. He's soil now. RIP Gray Boy.

Yep, he wuz an Oscar. Pretty kewl fish, he would "dance" for you when he knew it was feedy time. He also was a big time aqua scaper, constantly moving piles of stones around. 12" long he was.

I recon the Tetras will inherit his tank.

Fish are not cuddly like dawgs oar kats but there is a relaxing stress deboosh while watching them swim happily around.

They're not swimming happily around they're trying desperately to escape. Mr. Piggles finally made it out. You're free now Mr Piggles, you're finally free!!!

Totally understand the behaviors. Roommate had an Oscar in college named Stumpy. He trained Stumpy to jump out of the water and grab pellets from his fingers.

I think Stumpy got set free in the Ohio River sometime prior to graduation.
I still call it The Jake.

Oscars are cool. They eat the shit out of some goldfish. They will eat until they are so full they can't get any more down and will then swim around with half a goldfish hanging out of their mouths, slowly grinding it up and getting it down as room is made inside them by digested bits of previous victims falling out the other end. They have pugnacious attitudes and look like they're wearing hunter orange camo. RIP Mr. Piggles.
