Fruita / Rabbit Valley Beta Needed

Looking for some suggestions for rides in Fruita / Rabbit Valley, or possibly Vernal. I want to bring some of my buddies who are new to mountain biking on a trip that will get them hooked... they're all super athletic, so they can handle long rides, but they've never been on any technical trails. Looking for some nice rides that will challenge them but still let them be comfortable on the bike. Suggestions?

Pass on Rabbit Valley, there are much more fun trails to be ridden in Fruita. The 18rd/Bookcliff trail network is awesome, as are the Loma/Kokopelli trails.
At 18rd, riding Primecut to Frontside out and back would be a great intro ride....ride for awhile and turn around whenver you want.
Rustler and Mary's loop at the Kokopelli trails would also be a good choice.
The bike shop in Fruita, Over the Edge, is a great resource for trail info when you get there.
I've heard good tings about Vernal, but I've never ridden there. I think I may have heard things are a bit more tech there.
Bring your friends to Fruita and you will get them hooked.
