Full-time Seasonal Position ONLY
The Retail Sales Associate’s primary focus is to drive sales by providing above and beyond exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming shopping environment. This is achieved through visual merchandising, greeting customers promptly, and participating in relationship building conversations while imparting friendly product expertise. The ideal candidate will be expected to lead by example, uphold our company values, and engage our customers, and the local community in which they work.
Essential Job Functions
Customer Service
Ensure all customers are welcomed as they enter the store.
Maintain a working knowledge of all products offered and available option possibilities.
Provide high levels of customer satisfaction through exceptional customer service.
Be personally available to all customers to communicate and identify their needs and address their questions or concerns.
Go the extra mile to drive sales & sell the experience.
Actively seek out customers in store.
Team up with coworkers to ensure all shoppers are provided proper customer service.
Build productive trust relationships with customers.
Operations
Maintain a clean and well-organized back stock area.
At all time work to maintain a safe and professional store condition
Practice effective visual merchandising standards.
Inventory
Participate in necessary physical inventory counts.
Follow the all procedures specific to inventory control: paperwork flow, timeliness of reporting receipt of goods, inventory transfers and other related inventory matters.
Make sure damaged and defective goods are processed in a timely accurate manner.
Communication
Inform the store manager of any issues in the store.
Maintain open and positive relations with all store team members and divisions in the company.
Ensure the company policy and procedures are adhered to accordingly.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time, necessary to provide sales floor coverage related to customer service and loss prevention.
Ability to reach overhead, bend, squat, kneel, and carry product, necessary for customer service, inventory re-stock, and store merchandising.
Ability to climb up and down ladders, carrying boxes, product, and other store related items.
Ability to perform store maintenance items: sweep, vacuum, empty trash, clean.
Ability to safely lift boxes up to 65 lbs.
Minimum Job Qualifications
Previous retail sales experience.
Attain basic understanding of sales principles and customer service best practices.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
