    Retiring my 2010 Hellbents

    Hi,

I'm an average skier based in Switzerland looking for advice on a pair of new skis. I mostly spend my time skiing in Engelberg or Chamonix. Up until now I have been mostly skiing open fairly steep terrain. Since 2011 I have had a love story with a pair of K2 Hellbents 189. I find this ski to be easy to ski in most ski conditions I encounter, and also very manoeuvrable the times I have to negotiate my way down a forrest patch or a couloir. I know some people who say that it is not avery stable ski, but for me that has never been a problem. I guess I just don't ski fast enough. I have got the knees of an old man, and to be fair I'm not that young anymore
My only problem with these skis is that they are pretty darn heavy when touring. And due to the double rocker, the grip I get while touring on hard snow is not that great.
This coming season I plan on doing a bit more with skins underneath my skis and some more skiing in couloirs. I'm not looking for a speciality ski just for this though. I'm looking for something which will be fun and easy to ski, but versatile enough for some tighter turns and light enough for a few hours of ski touring.
I have been looking at "Dynastar Cham 2.0 107" or the 117 model. From the reviews I have read I think this could be something for me. Prior to the hellbents I had a pair of "Dynastar Legend Pro XXL (2008)" which I never really got to good terms with. To much ski I guess.

    Looking forward to your comments
    /Rikard

It's what I used in Chamonix. PM Tom from Austria, he is your local dealer.

Blizzard Peacemaker. Like your hellbent but skinnier, less floppy and more better for the chunder.

Swiss chicks are hot. I bet if you were to post a picture of your hot Swiss girlfriend or sister, (preferably in a state of undress but ripping pow would be okay too) you'll get a plethora of thoughtful answers.

Check out Down skis. Sounds like you might like the ThrowDown 110 or Countdown 110.

The thing is you have had hellbents, that you seem to love, dyna star chams are nothing like the hellbents they are a charger personality ski where the hellbents are a more playful ski. Nothing against the chams great ski if that is the personality you want. Might I recommend the k2 pettior it has the same playfulness with more camber and not as much rocker and just a tad more stiffness. I have hellbents and annex 118 which I consider charger skis and skiing them are totally different in every condition.

I liked my Fat-ypus I-Rocks a lot. They would be slightly stiffer and far more stable.
    Still in the same ballpark.
Last year's model are $390 in the US (not sure how you'd ship to Europe)

I'd look at the Down Countdown 110 or 114.
