i can't help your ignorance, 4matic. you obviously no little about marijuana, little about mental health, you don't read well or make an effort to understand anybody and your basically a mean old man with money. i get it. it doesn't you look less ignorant and foolish. but the bigger question is why you feel the need.

Man this place is a weird soap opera lately.

Vibes Spook/WE. I went to Oregon State but spent a lot of time at UO (friends/brother were students).

Never really got the dislike here of your Spook persona. Mostly seemed like you were just pointing out uncomfortable facts. At any rate, v2.0 seems pretty chill.

again, apologies for the drift but not everybody going through divorce has rage and bitterness about cheating and separating large assets. sometimes people go through the end of a relationship and have other things that are more dominant. in my case, my future has to be the best future i am capable of providing in my son in my current state and i can't figure all that out at once after being stuck in the same place trying to do the same things for 30 years and failing miserably.
    Holy shit, spook
    That is scary as hell

Agreed x2, was happy when I figured out the new name.

I need to dust off the muscle backs and hit the links. This break from playing is just uncool.

I'm happy to have a new Spook back, I like all the posters here for what they bring - life would be pretty dull if it was just an echo chamber of reinforcing thoughts.

I'll catch shit for this I'm sure but I would really like to have Hugh, Jer, and Blurred back. Maybe even Sadvres. I don't know why they divorced TGR.
I still call it The Jake.

Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

    Thread drift kind of.
I have a cousin that served 2 tours in Afghanistan.
He has ptsd. It's the real deal. Had him over for 4th of July and thought he was going to jump out of his skin with the fireworks going off.
Not the same person I knew before his tour of duty.
Really hope you find the peace you need spook.

Physically maybe but mentally weed can cause paranoia. You have to be mentally stable to use weed safely.

This is peak Thurston material right here.

"Well I don't know shit about the nuances but I can rely on a potential red herring, then I'll segue into a non sequitur that simply lacks backing."

For evidence, see PTSD sufferers whose stability DEPENDS on weed.

Alcoholism is so insidious its victims resort to Stockholm Syndrome.

IMO something must be done to help people with PTSD. More research and to that end raising funds for same? Shorter tours for military? Increased safety nets? Whatever might help, try it until we find a solution to the horrible pain these individuals are living with because it is as deadly as cancer and we need to find a solution if not a cure.
