Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

FYI - regarding the 9-3 - I see plenty of Clutch kits out there for the unicorn.... I had one of those 9-3 Wagons for a bit - solid chassis ton a power. I had the 4 cyl turbo - thing had a ton of power, was strangely devoid of Torque steer on boost - Liked it.

Well, there ya have it, Adiron! The master's stamp of approval. Personally, I'd consider that the official green light.

It goes in for a 150k service in a week, buddy is picking up the tab. Getting a quote for the clutch work then, and the mechanic is going to give it a good look over otherwise. I think this might just happen.

I say this knowing I'm talking about buying a 16 year old car from a defunct manufacturer with 150K myself. Let's go gambling!

I got the M-B OEM bars. Can't remember where I got them from but I'll see if I can find something and PM you.

    Not really a wagon...?

    But not really an SUV...?

It sure doesn't drive like an SUV.

    Just bought a very lightly used 2022 X3 M40i.

Holy shit it's fun and scarily fast.

A wagon has to be able to be turned into a sedan by replacing hatch area with a trunk.

If you only have 12” behind the rear wheels, you can’t do that, in which case you’re looking at a hatchback or an SUV.

And, IMHO, the rear window needs to be close to vertical rather than severely sloped.

Yup. Having rented (and then promptly totaled) a 2024 X3, they don't have near the space of my current or previous wagons. So no. Not a wagon. Definitely more akin to a lifted hatch. Pretty safe though, I can attest to that!!! I actually really liked the vehicle overall. Poor thing didn't deserve the fate it received at the hands of a drugged out CBP bus driver.
