Is investing in gold or silver a good idea?

Just curious. I like the thought of having something of value out of the bank vault, and it'd be kinda cool to have a bar of gold eventually just for baller status. It looks like the value has gone down quite a bit. Is it worth picking some up?

If there's a zombie apocalypse though, I'd think guns and ammo would be a better investment.

Buying physical gold is expensive (there is a premium for it) and likely for those banking on the zombie financial apocalypse. No, I don't own any.
That said, investing in a Gold ETF today may not be a bad idea over the next 12 months. Shit October is close and many are predicting a melt down starting about then. Who knows.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

I'll let Warren Buffet voice his opinion:

You also answer your own question. When the shit hits the fan, the strongmen will laugh at your gold, and take your daughters and eat your thigh.

    Acapulco Gold : Mexico
    Colombian Gold : Colombia

CG is a great strain. Sativa that you can session, not too much caffeine or hazy effects, balanced just right. Think it's also called Santa Marta Gold after the sub-range in the Andes.
