....and a partner dies along the way.
"Dear Friends,
I am deeply saddened by the tragic death of my colleague Martjin Seuren that happened yesterday Wednesday, July 22nd after a fall on Rochefortgrat. He would have been the first Dutchman to climb all the 82 Four-Thousand peaks in the Alps. I want to express my deepest condolences to Martjin’s family and friends. Out of consideration for the family I won’t add further comment on this tragic event and I ask you all to respect this as well.
Ueli"
That was kind. Did not come across in the link. Just mention of the death and a video of him and friends celebrating.
i'm surprised he finished the project after the death.....
He's a mountaineer on an epic scale. He's probably seen and know several people who have died. He himself knows that he is on a clock doing this type of stuff.
In terms of the accomplishment, I can't even process it, climbed more in 81 days than many people who would say they are mountaineers would do in a lifetime
