Sorry Lone Star, but yes the CAIC is finished for the season. It is not because we ran out of money. At this time of the season the ski areas close down and our field observers start heading for Mexico...
So, we don't have much in the way of field data to be doing accurate forecasts. But, if we see something big coming Colorado's way, we will issue a forecast, etc.... Meanwhile, be careful out there and follow the standard smart travel protocols. Climb early, ski early and avoid the wet slides. Also keep in mind that we have had (in the Frontrange and Gore range) some deep slab avalanches.
