Travel site recommendation - searching by date

We want to take a trip during late July/early August, and have lots of places that we'd like to go. Given that time of year, though, we're probably leaning toward northern Europe/Scandinavia, but have lots of flexibility. Thinking someplace out of the U.S., not Canada (we have a bit of extra time, figure we should go somewhere farther away)

This is kind of a weird way to search for trips, but -- anyone know of a travel site that lets you search for airfares broadly? In other words, if we pick July 17 for a departure date, flying out of Las Vegas (or OAK, or LAS -- cities we can easily connect to from RNO) -- are there any sites that list cheap fares for a variety of destinations?

    skyscanner.com might be useful

you can pick a departure airport and date, and then they give you fares to tons of destinations.

I'd go Iceland if it were me....

Kayak explore will point you in the right direction, you can see where other people found fares to for cheap.

Try Google flights. Pretty sure you can set your date range and then look at pricing for different airports on a map. I haven't booked anything with it yet but I've played with it a bit and it seems like a good interface for what you want.

Yep, google.com/flights pick your starting point and dates and then click on the map. The next screen will show you fares to all cities around the world for those dates and departure airport. Pretty cool idea for those that have dates, but no real destination in mind.

Kind of cool but not real accurate pricing. Was quoted $638 rt from LAX to Copenhagen. Ended up at about $1k which still isn't bad. Just get your cheapest flight to Yurp (except Aeroflot) and once your there, other flights elsewhere can be had dirt cheap on the regional carriers.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.
