So not only is this ridiculously un-current, virtually all of the photos are taken with phones. My camera puked after about day 2. Also, a good number of the photos were taken by my wife and son. Mostly because I suck at taking pictures with phones (or cameras for that matter).
Anyway, the skiing and food and people were fantastic. The snow sublime.

Our stylie ride to the ski in ski out goodness
One of the numerous Onsens here. This one is for locals only, I understand that they cook the famous onsen eggs here. Hot water from the many natural hot springs is used to melt snow on some of the steeper streets. Very cool (hot).
A way cooler photo than I could have taken.
The famous man-goat-pig-bear was hanging out beneath a gondola. We had to investigate. The run was fun, closed and led to an encounter. Fresh tracks and strange beasts.
