I have a Job interview with a school in SCL, I know the skiing is great but how much Whitewater is there in the area? How long does the season last. I'm just trying to get a general idea.

At one time there wuz a urban WW course northside of town I think but it may have been abandoned.
Western boating requires lots of driving.watch out for snakes

I was once on the water 6 days a week. I moved here and that has changed to weekend warrior on some weekends. The local boating scene is not huge. There is a park in Ogden that is below standard for current parks. Lots of creeks in the Uinta's, but they require alot of wood cleaning, and there aren't enough boaters to make it happen. If you want to drive 3-6 hours, lots of options. Within an hour, very few.
