Silver Couloir is prone to slide; I've seen it slide just over the crux all the way to tree line. The frequency of usage doesn't seem to matter some years.

Had beers with Timmy last night. Said the snow was great up top, but once he and his group got into the couloir it started getting sketchier and sketchier. The only thing he said was different than the report was two older dudes ripped past his group right before he triggered the avy.
