    Grand junction trail conditions

Sorry for this Smi repetitive post but currently on 70 heading to fruita initially but might think about bailing early and riding GJ. What's the state of the trails anyone know? BLM sites near the GJ system. Urgent!
Do I detect a lot of anger flowing around this place? Kind of like a pubescent volatility, some angst, a lot of I'm-sixteen-and-angry-at-my-father syndrome?

    fuck that noise.

    gmen.

Randomly looked at accommodations in GJ and the prices are looking pretty decent - anything new in the area trail-wise?

Don't' know about new but Lunch Loops and The Ribbon are always awesome, as is Palisade Rim. The Grand Enduro was today. Haven't done the full Palisade Plunge, not sure if the exit drainage is fixed from the flooding. Prolly is.

    Grand junction trail conditions

There are a few new trails at 18rd this year and the Palisade Plunge, but that's the only new stuff I'm aware of in the last 10 years or so.

AFAIK the lower part of the Plunge is fixed enough to be rideable. I've done the whole thing once and it's...fine. It has a ton of pedaling and exposure. If you go in knowing it's a long XC/adventure style ride you'll have more fun. I was actually going to give it another go this weekend but friends bailed so I rode LL last night instead.

X2 on Palisade Rim if you haven't done it before.

Windmill gets overlooked and is a fantastic ride if you’re okay with some climbing.

    Favorite local rides:
    1. Windmill
    2. Marys > Horesethief, Steve’s > Moore Fun. Add Lions and Troy for a long day.
    3. Zion Curtain + Western Rim loop
    4. Ribbon + Gunny (Maybe add free lunch)
