    More Tahoe Questions

Are there any places like grocery stores, sporting good stores and the like that have discount lift tickets? Any Maggots going to be around next weekend? I'm thinking Heavenly Thursday, and KW & Squaw as other targets.
Is the maggot radio channel still 5-13? Can you tell I'm stoked to be ending my season in such glorious fashion?

hmm, being a pass holder, i am out of touch with all the discounts, etc. i know safeway in truckee and tahoe city sell discounted tix for sugarbowl, but not sure about squaw, heavenly and kirkwood. you might check with your hotel, as they sometimes provide discounted lift tix. also, check the various resort web sites, as they may have started mid-week spring tix prices, which are discounted, etc. but, usually the big resports like heavenly and squaw don't have many discounted tix programs available, unless you buy multiple day lift tix and then they cut you some slack....

    have fun in tahoe!

The AD and I will be skiing somewhere in the Tahoe area next Friday- at least that's the plan. Heavenly is a strong possibility as it's on the way to Mammy.
I'll be spending Thursday night in SoTahoe (beer is a stong possibility) and having coffee and croissants at Hot Gossip early Friday AM, if you're interested in joining.

Sugar is only $38 at the hill, which is cheaper than the Safeway discount cards.

    Alpine is still $39.

The Heave is $55 at the hill late season (now), which is the same as the Albertsons discount cards.

Kirkwood has 2 for 1 tickets, i.e. ski two days in a row on one $46 ticket.

    Squaw never discounts anything AFAIK.

I'm taking that Friday off and was planning on using it to drive to Mammoth. I might consider using it to ski KW and then drive to Mammoth if you're interested in joining in?

If you go to Kirkwood, grab any season pass holder or employee. Ask to use 'em for a discount. If you buy the ticket with them present, it's only something like $35/day. I've done it several times before with total strangers, and no one ever said "no." Totally easy to do.

Also, go to Chair 10 at 10 on the weekends and ask around for change for a nickel.

I think I may still have a few Heavenly coupons left laying around somewhere. PM me if you're interested. The coupons are redeemable for a $30 day pass.

Another source for cheap lift tickets is at this shop:

Cool! We're in South Lake Tahoe. Thursday will definitely be a beer night, it's our 15th anniversary and the reason for the trip.

What about the weather? The temps listed on accuweather, etc are for in the valley, not at mountaintop altitude, right?

Any photographers going to be around to get an action shot of me for the calendar? MrNohills is good at a lot of things, but action photography isn't a forte.
