Cali Bound!

Well, I figure it's safe to let the cat out of the bag now...everyone who needed to know early-on already knows. Mrs. Particle, AKA Miss Grunge (2-3 posts total), will be doing her residency in lovely Fresno, California, after she graduates medical school this spring. Sooo, we just went out there this weekend and bought a house! It's so Suburban America it just flat out roolz!! The cool thing is it's right on the north side of town on the way out to Yosemite so it's as close to the foothills as possible. Supposedly a pretty good MTB trail 20 minutes away (San Joaquin River Trail) and there is a huge open space park right across the street with tons of mellow trails for running/cycling etc. Seems like actually a pretty nice city despite its 'armpit of California' reputation.

BUT, the good news is I'm not going to stop being a Utard. I'll likely spend a few days each week working in Park City, details yet to be finalized. Suffice it to say I still get to hang w/ the Utards.

I'm super curious if any of the NorCal maggots are down close enough to Fresno to meet up for rides this summer? Seems like most of the closest peeps are around Sacramento? Anyone further south? And of course I will definitely have to meet up with the Kookwood crew next winter...

Well it's like you said, bass lake and Yosemite aren't that far. There's lots of good country to explore near fresburg.

If you get yourself a jetboat, a handlebar mustash and a mesh hat and yull fit right in.

So I take it you're not moving to Cali during the residency? Did I get that right? Anyway - too bad about not seeing you in Moab or Fruita next week. I'm working on another business trip to SLC & I'll be driving so I'll have the bike! Need you to show me around.
