That's their price on the web site. As far as vapes go, cheap price for lightweight powerful very quick to charge spares.

I feel after exchanging a few emails that they will send them legit, just wondering about customs etc and if they root through the box

Maybe you put that thing through the paces for another month and see if there are any downsides?

I sent an email to the grasshopper guy about a buy of 20-25 units - appealing to his patriotic sense to keep the cash in 'merica. He came back with 109$ per - if I could get him below 100$ w/two extra batteries then I might see if there is interest.
Grasshopper couldn't ship until mid June.

EDIT: Of note, the instructions say to never use the grasshopper in temps below 32 or above 90. That's a pretty narrow window. Hopefully it will work just fine for skiing if it stays warm in your jacket.

After some bartering back and forth with grasshopper HQ, they are firm on 109$ with no extras. I understand that they don't want to insult the people that speculated on their product and got in for 99$ way back - thought I could sell them on the marketing appeal of selling at a good price to an audience that could improve their future prospects.
So basically the grasshopper would be ~ twice as much to the door as viva. The viva deal is not going anywhere, the grasshopper I am guessing would only go up in price as they distribute and work on a V 2.0 — if they are as advertised I doubt you will get one less than 199$ in future.
GH was very nice and responded to all emails within couple days. I am going to order a viva and a few other of their smaller oil / combo models and try to parlay our Chinese overlords into a better deal, with them knowing that stoned and lazy Americans will be easier to conquer.

So, I just picked up an N Pen from Native Roots in Frisco. It's their self marketed pen device that lights up just from the sucking action. Coconut oil base, and a very nice draw and taste. USB charged. 30 bucks for the pen in a case, 40 bucks for 500 ml of oil. My pacifier for bicycling this summer.
