The Talent, The Documentaire and The Ka Boo Boo

If Jay doesn't open next weekend, we can at least say we saw the season out in style. Slushy, silly, spring Sunday style. Skiing through grass, lunch on the Ridge, a successful ski retrieval mission (followed by a good ol' game of ski toss), and beers on the deck to cap it all off. Beautiful.

Sick and ashamed and happy (and some of the runs have exceptional coverage - it's the bases of the lifts that could spell the end (in any case, if the lifts stop turning, there's still some skinning to be done)),

Come out here. Lots of snow for the skiing (and skinning to your heart's content).

That couch was sweet. Really summed up the day (as in each of us spent a fair amount of time on our collective asses).

Sick and ashamed and happy (and, you're right, I do look damn good in that spring jacket),

Indeed. Lets hope the weather cooperates next weekend- the last two have been springtastic. Again- expo gl- big fun turns all day.

We hit Gulf of Slides on Sunday for our first ever trip in northern NH. Pretty great; friend of mine (Adog) has pics, I'll post sometime soon. Girlfriend who had never been up a mountain 3 years ago, with only 2+ seasons of Jay under her belt was able to do a rocket run from the top of the headwall to the bottom of the trail (with a few 20 yard walks mind you). It was a hell of a day.

Hope to catch you all out next weekend. Spring in the NEK,
    Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I must say though that it is unfortunate that all that grabbing on Sunday did not transfer off slope .. Here's hoping that there will be another day at Jay this year so I can get some more action.
