Nice! What day were you there? AB and I went there on Thursday and got our ass handed to us.

I ran up there for the day yesterday. In the morning soft hackles were working and after lunch they were pretty aggressive to a black streamer. Sometimes I think those fish are more into the swing than the strip, at least that's how it seems for me more often than not. There was a pretty solid midge hatch going on too, I just noticed today that I still have some flying around in my car.

It was cold yesterday. Puking snow at times, but we had the place all to ourselves.

I work 50ish hours a week and only have a few hours in the mornings usually to go fishing, so I do what I can. Not everyone can go on super epic fishing trips all the time.

Super epic like the one pictured above where we totaled a truck then struggled to nymph up a fish for the next few days?

I don't know what working 50 hrs a week has to do with anything, but I work just as much and tend to family duties as well. Or maybe that wasn't directed at me specifically.

All I'm saying is there are lots of places to fish and I'm glad that you guys fish there because it keeps you off of my spots. And that spot is gay as hell. Diff'rent strokes, I guess.

Nope wasn't directed at you at all. Sorry for posting unstokeworthy photos here, just trying to contribute since the rest of this place sucks. Good luck with your truck.

You recognized that spot so I'm guessing you use to fish there, but I'm sure it wasn't gay when you fished there.

Sound logic, but no. Never done it.

I get it, though. Big fish, easy access. The negatives outweigh that for me.

Thanks! Seriously the largest white fish I have ever seen on a size 22 emerger. I wish I was this was last year and I just found the picture. I need to get up so we can make a run. I hear things are fishing well in your neck of the woods.

Yup. Fishin has been good. -11 this morning and 20's for highs this wknd aren't gonna help though.

Mostly been playing with Browns on the Snake above the Lake and dam to Pac. Been hearing the southy has been pretty crowded on wknds even for this time of year. Still good tho. Hard to go over when you can fish at the base of the snow covered Tetons with nobody around. Browns have been angry. Good cutty midging too. Had a few nice Browns sipping below the dam too. Macks pretty aggressive in the first half mile below on bright, funky shit also. Come on up.

New fishing partner arrived in April. Spent a lot of time on smaller streams closer to home.

Broke free a few times still
