Thanks for all the positive thoughts, guys. It's just now starting to hit me that this is actually happening. I've hung out with my friends today to try to forget about it and all of us seem to be taking it pretty well. We're doing what we think she would want us to, which is keep on living (and especially keep on wakeboarding).
Thanks for the cross reference, Dave. That's only part of how cool Kelly was. She was the kind of girl who would up and go to waffle house at 2 in the morning just because she didnt want me to be bored. Or the kind of girl who would drive 40 minutes to bring me a smoothie at work, which she would not let me pay for. She was ALWAYS smiling and super ambitious. And I don't really remember her saying anything mean about anything in the entire time that I've known her. It is a great loss for all who knew her, but we are all beginning to accept that death is a part of life. We WISH she were still here, but wishing won't bring her back. I'm just super glad I was able to know her as long as I did and I think the few of you who met her were glad you did as well. Well I'm done venting. Thanks for listening, guys.

Tragic. Sorry for your loss, Max. Keep the vibes and positivity going.

Sorry Max, keep the memories alive.
In drove this drunken madman and stopped on a dime! Unfortunately the dime was in Mr. Rococo's pocket!
That sucks Max, I'm sorry it happened.
Don't know if she liked to fish, but I'll try and catch a trout for her tommorow. Sounds like you're handling it well, just have to stay positive and time will heal.

Revenge is like the sweetest joy next to gettin pussy
Wow, that's an incredibly sad story. I'm so sorry, Max, for you and Kelly's family and friends--from the sound of the articles she had many. She seemed like she had her head on straight and had a bright future, which many kids here age don't. It all seems terribly cruel and I can only imagine how difficult it must be for you and your friends. Positve vibes streaming from Portland right now. Hang in there, Max, and keep her spirit alive every day.
ROBOTS ARE EATING MY FACE.
Having 2 daughters 16 and 19. With the 19 yeqr old driving back from Mammoth to Chico as I write. This news is heart breaking. All I can do is casually wipe the tear from the corner of my eye so that my family doesn't think I'm nuts for getting a little blurry eyed while reading the computer.
Don't go to bed mad, tell your loved ones you love them........ Peace to her family and friends
I got my Vans on but they look like sneakers.....

Again, thanks for the positive vibes, guys. You are very compassionate, and I appreciate that very much. My friends and I all hung out yesterday and today and sorta helped each other out to the point where we're all starting to accept that she's gone. The healing process has begun and has begun well. I have even gotten a maggot to design stickers for us to put on our water skis and on my skis, so she will be us every turn we make. Thanks to that maggot, by the way. You're a good dude.
It sucks so bad that she's gone, but she is gone. But like I said, a girl with that much life doesn't just go away. Her spirit will sure as hell live on forever, on the course, on the water, on the snow, at UF (her dream), and everywhere else and with everyone else she has been a part of. Kelly, you will NEVER be forgotten. I will look up to the sky every bluebird day and thank you for giving us what you would love. We're gonna miss you, kid.
Sorry for blathering, but it's good to discuss it, get it out, ya know? Thanks guys. For real.

Max,
Unfortunately I have some insight into what you're going through having lost my friend in a crash earlier this year. I've just returned from seeing his injured fiance this weekend.
It is too cruel to lose young, positive, loving people in such a wasteful way. You'll have good days and bad days. I was doing OK initially and then bawled my eyes out about 3 days later. I dedicated every powder turn I did this year to my friend. I know he would appreciate it. It's cool that you are doing the same. Her family will need support, love and small gestures, not just now but in 6 months, a year, two years later.
I really feel for you, Max. Take care, son.

So sorry for you, your friends, and her family Max.
