Question Quickest way from SFO airport to Kirkweed?

I have to pick up my bud who gets in at 9:30am tomorrow, and will make it to KW for the afternoon.

    Do I....

    a) Take the Gay Bridge to Walnut Creek-Suburbia-farmland-88-KW
Fuck, the reverse double secret route is hard as shit (KW-88-Jackson-Collier Rd-5-12-160-4-??-Caldecott Tunnel-Gay Bridge). I can drive that coming from KW blindfolded, but reverse engineering this clusterfuck route in broad daylight ill probably get me lost and lose ski time

    b) S&M bridge to 880-580-5-88

    I'd go w/ b) S&M bridge to 880-580-5-88.

By mid moring sat there might be a backup in SF getting on the Bay bridge. S&M, 880 & 580 should all be moving above the limit.

I would also recommend calling 511 before leaving SFO (http://www.511.org)
and listening to 740 AM (KCBS)

I did the KW-88-(giant burger stop)-5-580-880-S&M-101-palo alto in 3.5 hours once. Though with no traffic, I've done SFO to davis in 1.25, davis to KW in 2 via the 50-double secret deliverance road-88-KW, total of 3.25 hrs. It all depends on timing.
I've concluded that DJSapp was never DJSapp, and Not DJSapp is also not DJSapp, so that means he's telling the truth now and he was lying before.

I second the southerly route - the traffic on Hwy 12 gets pretty heinous if not early in the am or late at night . . .

I'd go with this one as well. Would be interesting to hear how long these routes take people early in the morning. I always go for the freeways, but maybe that's not the fastest way after all?

I just know enough to be careful in the passing lanes up/down 88, cough, cough.

Also, if a cop pulls you over after passing a bunch of slow gapers on the double yellow lane on the "bridge" next to the lake 1 mile east of Kirkwood, you cannot lose him by taking the most circuitous route through the pay parking lot, up employee housing, through 3 levels of dirt parking lot to the gas tanks. In fact, you will probably piss him off.

Should be possible with not-too-bad traffic. The same route, just starting from Berkeley, 80-580 etc takes me about 3 hours and a little bit in my not so fast 94 4runner.
