    6 Weeks Post Op

This knee is pulling through nicely - almost able to bend completely

today at PT I used the left leg well and leg pressed 90 lbs.(30 reps), walked fakie on the treadmill for 5 min. (7 deg. incline), rode the stationary for 15 minutes (low resistance), leg-curled 20 pounds (30 reps), Tonz of leg lifts (with 10 lb.) all directions and knee bends standing/laying down. All of that with fundamental exercises to increase walking agility and strength.

Although the time has been relatively short, it still feels like a long time coming and more is needed before I feel bomber. Time is on my side though and I know I will get back 100% and sooner than I think.

RE-HAB continues - the PT's love it because they can continue to work on "their" knee. They let me have my chance to get it in line but when I don't CRACK!! and no set backs for their schedule (DOH!!, PAIN!!!) -
I enjoy it - and know it is prep-ing me for summer activities

Be careful, you are getting to the point where the new ACL is at it's weakest. Once the bone grafts heal, then the ACL begins to regenerate it's vascular connections. I have been warned that the first plataeu of feeling strong is a false one and is actually when you are at your most vulnerable.

Sounds like your kicking ass in PT...can't wait until I'm where you're at.

"Be careful, you are getting to the point where the new ACL is at it's weakest", UM....It wasn't ACL but my knee cap and yes this is when a person can really screw it up with over confidence. Truth thanks for the good words mang. Hope you are keeping a good spirit about you.
