    Airline tix HELP!

I've been offered a free trip to south america. all I have to pay for is airline tix since the ticket is non-tranferable. I'd be flying into bolivia and I think it would be the capital (la paz). But I need to find tickets as cheap as possible. I'm not super good with finding cheap tickets. So could anyone bust out some super cheap ticket finding steeze for me? I'd be leaving next thursday. I would really appreciate it and would def own you one.

A little late for good deals. Try and find someone with a buddy pass or frequent flier miles. Usually adds in the classified of your Newspaper.

Do you speak Spanish? I'd go to despegar.com, talk to them on the phone or your local hispanic travel agent. A lot of the price will be based on where you're flying out of. Rates from Miami, NY, or Dallas (for AA) are almost always cheaper to SA, sometimes so much cheaper that it makes sense to set up a domestic flight to get to one of those locations.

What are you doing in Bolivia? Skiing touring could be sick. The country itself is really poor, but has amazing geography (and fewer than 1000 miles of paved roads!). Salar de Uyuni in the south is part of the driest desert in the world, while Rurrenabaque jungle in the north has the classic Amazonian ecosystem (including all types of crazy animals: toucans, crocs, anaconda). If you get a chance, go to Potosi and check out where the wealth of the Spanish empire came from, it's a sobering experience.

    speaking of SA

Pollard, thinking of going to Chile, Argentina, but would like to know more about this airfair biz. Last I checked, flying (from Can) was big $. Havn't found any decent prices at any time of year. Would like to get there for the end of their season. If you find something to good to pass up, pass it on!
