Bro vs Pocket Rocket vs Explosiv vs Mantra

I want ski that's good in powder and really stiff to bust crud, sweet in moguls, and good on the groomed. I prefer a stiff ski but sometimes I want a soft ski if my quads get burnt towards the end of the day. I'd give my dimensions but that would help. So is the Bro good for this? Should I get Explosiv used or wait for the Mantra and if so, what length? Maybe 177 for the left ski and a 184 for the right? Blue noodles? I see lots of those on the slopes. Hmm.... can you guys be helpful to me? BTW, who make the Bro?

I saw that post. I agree.

I want another pair of Exploders because they are d/c'd and I love 'em. So just in case something happens to mine. Sure I love my Legend Pro but but for tight spots and the Sierra I just love my Exploders.

This reminds me of a playground. There's a nice kickball game going on and there's two dorks watching it and making fun of everyone but the truth is they really want in the game.

An idea for those of you that find this place childish and immature or just want to prove to the cubicle monkeys that you're cooler and/or know more than them - doors over there, use it.

    Head Monster 88's

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anybody had a chance to ski these yet?
I took some iM85's out for a few runs today and loved them, so I'm kind of wondering if the new 88's would fit me or if I should start to look for a pair of this years 85's.
The rep said they've softened them, but made them torsionally stiffer. Would this give them better edge hold, but sacrifice their tank like crud abilities, or am I on the wrong track?

    Alright, lighten up Francis!

This forum can be very helpful but sometimes the responses are more volatile than Ben Laden walking into an NRA convention.

Wouldn't Ben Laden (or Bin Laden, his older and slightly-more-infamous brother) fit right in at an NRA convention?

Ah, the NRA...For the record, I love skis more than I love guns, but not by much... That's why I have Pistols and Explosiv's

From what you said you were looking for, you cannot go wrong with the Explosiv. I got mine in a 180 so I could noodle them in the bumps. They're a little stiff in the bumps but it's an easy adjustment. On groomers, crud and pow they absolutely rule. It's a race ski flex built into a wide board. The whole design is perfection for an all around ski.
    Skiah for life
