Angry Anyone else just write a check while swearing at the top of your lungs?

Friendly reminder, it is the 13th today. I can see them bastards rubbing their hands together, "Yep, we sure screwed em good this year".

Gotta pay the man, but be damned if he gets penalty money too!

sigh guess it's gotta go out priority tomorrow.

btw e-filing sucks just as much as filling out paper returns and involves almost as much paperwork...

Just needs to be postmarked by the end of the day on the 15th. No need to spend $ on Priority. (not saying what to do, simple FYI)

Mine is going snail mail in the am. Ouch.

It's sickening when you look at all the tax you give at the cash register and in your pay check each year. It's proff government is way to big, I used to think Republicans would try to get it under control if they were in power. Boy was I wrong.

Nate, for future reference, IF getting a refund, do it as soon as your W2(s) and other forms are in your hands, employers MUST have those postmarked by January 31, in the mail to you. Do taxes immediately, get your money so they are not getting YOUR interest that you can be getting.

If you have to pay, well, wait till the last few days or what you feel comfortable with so the Booberment does not make interest off your money there either.

I'm still learning too, every year something is different.

I feel for UTDave right now, he is prolly putting in some realllly long hours.

Just wrote that massive check myself. I knew it was coming because up until this past summer I was an independent contractor, no taxes withheld.

    fack fack fack fack.

I just got an email from my accountant. I'm so royally screwed it's not even funny. I pay my quarterly taxes religiously, but since I made more last year and didn't account for that, i'm getting hosed now.

    Ouch.

At least if I could choose where that money went, I wouldn't feel so bad.

What's really funny, I just got my W-2 late (lost in the mail, legit) from a little job I had just before I moved. Punched it through the 1040, and ended up paying more money than I made at that job. I.E. I made 3.5 lapdances at the jobby job, and then the IRS took 3.7 lapdances after I added it in since that 3.5 lapdances pushed me into a higher bracket. That job ended up costing me -0.2 lapdances. I paid the government to work. Fukkers
I've concluded that DJSapp was never DJSapp, and Not DJSapp is also not DJSapp, so that means he's telling the truth now and he was lying before.

They got a $1000 of my hard earned Benjamins.

Can we count our donation to AK Pogue as a charity on our 2005 taxes?
