Cheap places to crash in Telluride

I know the words "cheap" and "telluride" don't exactly go together, but I'm planning a trip out there this sumer at the end of June and need a reasonable place to stay. I was out there in Jan and stayed at the Klammer (we won a vacation package). We can't afford to stay there again. Someone mentioned a small motel in town, but I can't remember the name? So far there's only two of us going.....

You can camp in town with all of the hippies. At $15 a night, it's not exactly cheap, but you are close to the action. Plus they have showers worthy of a truck stop (for an extra couple bucks of course).
A lot of people earn their turns. Some just get bigger checks.

The Bluegrass festival is from the 15th to the 19 this year, unless you're going to it, don't plan on being in Telluride around that time...

The Oak Street Inn used to be the cheapest in town. You get what you pay for here.

A bit nicer and not much more is the Victorian Inn. I've stayed there numerous times and it is clean and cheap. Nothing to brag about, but how much waking time are you going to spend there anyway?

Have fun, Telluride rocks anytime of year.

Thanks, I'll check those two places out. We're planning on 5 days, give or take.

Are those ^^ still the best cheapish choices? Also, who's there this weekend?

(I searched, JONG!, but this is almost 3 years old.)

Oak Street Inn is no more.
The least expensive room in town is at the Mountainside Inn, followed by the Victorian Inn, and then the New Sheridan.

Thanks, ugly. Next question, how long does it take to get from Ouray to T-ride?

Its a pretty good fifty mile drive and the roads aren't exactly superhighway, especially the last few miles into T-Ride. Not for the faint of heart by any means. Its a cool town with its own attractions and I think the discount works for people wanting to hit T-Tide as a day trip.

You could check out the Ridgeway Lodge and Suites, ten miles closer. They have $51 dollar lift tickets which amounts to a 40% discount. Not much of a town though I don't think -I've only ever just passed through.

15% discount for booking your tickets through the T-Ride website.
