Any Kern River junkies in here? Brush Creek is going off...pretty stompin' features and some nice falls. Anyone plan to visit?

Hey, it's Jon....g.
(sorry had to do it,)
I bet Cali is going off. Which Brush creek you talkin' about? I have another month of school no cali for me—I'll make it back sometime. Nice ass yogachik![]()
Yep, it's me...
Cali is going to have an epic runoff season, finish school and get your boat over here, you won't regret it.
The Brush Creek I'm talking about is a tributary of the Kern River. It is rated Class V, and has some class V consequences, but paddles like a glorified class III at the "normal" (meaning lower) flows. To me, Brush Creek is what paddling is all about, lotsa drops, rock slides, chutes and pourovers, but no stomping holes or gnarly moves that have to be made. Of course at higher flows that all changes a bit. Get here and look up Eagle Rafting, you'll find lots of folks willing to go show you around.
Oh, and btw...don't think it's not hers...;-)
I did some boating on the Kern in school - never hit Brush Creek, but if I ever really get into the sport, it's high on the list of things to hit! Get some!!!!
(and if there's ever a year to get into boating in CA, this is prolly it!)
