Ha, nice wipeouts. Reminds me of the carnage on Lake St. Clair during the summer.

When I was a wee lad, my buddy Mike and I were both getting towed behind a ski boat in tubes with my pops at the helm. Being 15, we thought it would be fun to try and toss one another off the tube at 25 mph.

Dad had other ideas. Mike was in the middle of the wake and I was outside of the wake on tuber's left. He gave 'er a bit of octane coming out of a U-turn and the lines snapped taught.

I look at Mike and give him a middle finger. "I'm gonna nail him and try to auger his foot in so he pops off the tube."

Not so. Dad, still mashing on the throttle straightened up and I popped off the wake, completely ballistic. I suddenly realized no good was gonna come of me being in the air, so instinctively I try to grab Mike's lifejacket to peel him off with me.

Instead, the right side of my tube plows into his head & shoulder, knocking him off and flipping me.

I can still see the look on his face as we're both ass over handlebars airborne and tubeless for a split second before we both skipped off the water.

Good times, good times.
