Note that you received some excellent, objective responses from self-confident and decent people (though, Verbier, you must no longer say "dump." It's "damp!" Damp! At least I think that's what you mean.) Also, 2 planker, you're asking about scratches, which, being Rossignols, immediately make them very uncool here, so you can't expect much of an objective response, especially from people who never have or refuse to ski them or had a friend who broke one once or whatever. Finally, the notion that you would ask for simple help and information on a message board, without "contributing," is, apparently, more than you should expect. Don't sweat it. You got a couple of responses from people, a whole bunch of shit from a whole bunch of shitheads, and, well, I guess you're not in the club. Me neither. So, now, we await the cackling and crowing and jonging and all that.

    A reasonable post?

the opposite of a damp ski would be a 'springy' ski or a snappy ski, one that feels like it recoils back and wants to throw you off it at worst or springs you into a turn at best

    hope that helps
it helps!.... this is what I meant for dump, sorry . FWIW, speaking in italian I would call a damp ski as "sordo" (deaf)
