Was Jim Sullivan's delinquent tax bill ever settled?
If so, could that be a reason for holding up the sale?

Because rich has nothing to do with money.
When does the '15/'16 Magic Shitshow thread start?

Don't know if it was settled--I assumed something happened with it to allow the Barker era to begin, but I haven't heard anyone mention a thing about that in relation to the would-be sale. So I doubt it's playing a role. As with everything else at Magic, though, you never know...

Lynchy… I should have said " not the proper forum for answers" My point was that you will not find out shit here. Fuck man. I dont know shit and am as pissed as anybody. Can't fucking believe you associated me with Epic. Goddam you LD…..damn you to hell…..
I do have a good source who seems to have clammed up. I will try again.
Well crap, this isn't how this was supposed to go at all. Gotta find a snowmobile now?
Day Man. Fighter of the Night Man. Champion of the Sun. Master of Karate and Friendship for Everyone.
Let's not get too excited (by which I mean depressed) quite yet. My expectation is that the mountain will open as usual--of course something could change or I could be wrong, but I believe that this will still happen. We all know a lot of preparation has been done and is ongoing (AFAIK), and the public statements certainly suggest a normal season (not to minimize some of the very worrying indications to the contrary). At the least I know that before sales were suspended they sold about $35k worth of season passes--a drop in the bucket for opening if it doesn't snow and Barker doesn't get a clue about how to run an EC ski area (snowmaking), but it's still something.
And best case (for now) is that a minor miracle occurs and the sale is revived and closes (soon). But either way I'm still planning on skiing (with lifts turning) at Magic again this year. Looking forward to seeing everyone (except MMP--hate that guy).

"Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?"
My source tells me there is still quite a lot of pressure being put on the parties to reach an agreement to sell in the next week or so. Barker and Lyzczar need to figure out how much of the pie each ends up with, but have to come to the realization that this may be the best purchase offer they get.
Invite the interested parties and their lawyers to Ullrfest '15. I'm sure a deal can be brokered at the event. If anyone has a lead on a red carpet and VIP tent please come forward.
I'll valet their cars.

yah Dex, ya cock! Wednesday motherfucker!
Speaking of which, I think I missed most of whatever lead to Benny's hard-on for Magic. Maybe someone (Benny, even) can fill me in. Is there some sort of competition between Magic and every ski area in CO? I wouldn't really think there would be a natural basis to compare a small southern VT hill with, say, the multi-billion dollar entity that is Aspen's four ski areas (speaking of which, Benny might want to figure out the geography before describing Aspen as right around the corner from A-Basin--seems like a long drive to me even when I-70 isn't a shitshow). But I have clearly missed a lot of shit-slinging around here.

If I may.
Some years back, Benny commented that he skied the trees on 156cm skis. Someone (I don't recall who and who never asked Benny's height and weight) commented back that they skied trees on skis much longer, and even managed to ski these longer lengths in the trees at Magic implying that Benny was a jong. And they did so in a special Magic t-shirt only available to 'owners.'
As Benny only skis on Wednesdays, I'm not sure Benny has ever skied at Magic.
But the fuse was lit.
