If all else fails, I have a very nice stash of NoVT's best brews to tempt him and a 2TB hard drive filled with just about every soundboard available from 65 on.

2d that. I don't get up to Magic as much as I'd like these days but skied it frequently and came out for work day years past . But when I can't make it knowing that you and your crew are still at work and improving off the map, come what may of the management drama, is good to know.

Awesome weekend all around. Worked the first half of two workdays and hung out with my son each afternoon...and still got credit for showing up! The peru fair is pretty cool I have to say and good seeing you Peruvian, you were running sh×t there

New glade is killer, even has a money shot near the end . Get Amped you rock for the food and drink. Good to meet you Krp. Lynchy you are an animal on the saw, will be you dragger anytime

On Sunday was funny taking some non mags into the site including my mom who was a trooper and they continually had to ask where the trail was.

Thanks do work and mniaw for organizing

I put non mag Craig's loppers on the deck when I left, does anyone know if the found their way back to him?

Thanks guys, but I couldn't do any of it alone. It really is a group effort and all the people that come out really make it possible. It was a little disheartening to see how few showed up due to the recent management shenanigans, but that soon vaporized once the work started getting done. I'm sure the rest of the collective will come back around for next time.

I just feel exceedingly fortunate that we even have the opportunity to do that kind of stuff. Nothing gets me more stoked than creating something from nothing and making things better up there. Those turns you make on a pow day that simply weren't there to make last year are always the best feeling ones.

Also in other stoked news I got a SICK new pair of loppers at the Big E last night after mine finally bit the dust. Check these bad Larrys out!

The Big E isn't a fair, it's an endurance event! You're a better man than I am if you can go and not buy a single bag of mini donuts, avoid tempura fried pickles/shrooms and not even have one turkey leg or order of fried oreos though. I thought I did well by not caving to the slice of fried cheesecake on a stick this year haha.

The loppers were the only thing I really was looking for though. The second my ratcheting fiskars died I was actually stoked that I could just go get a pair of these Florians. Been eyeing them for a while. The plastic bits in the Fiskars get haggard pretty quick, mine had been cutting like shit and I was putting up with it for way too long. Now I just need to get a long reach woodman's pal and my hand tool dream team will be complete!

no idea what the fuck any of that means, past the part about the cheesecake. That I understood. FOund a Wormtown Be Hoppy 100 feet inside gate 7, went to state buildings. The Be Hoppy lasted until Vermont, where I reloaded on an Otter Creek Hop something. VT should really have a huge beer offering there. Long Trail, OC, Wolavers? really? Then we started for the Farmarama. I stopeed at Opa Opa and grabbed L a pumpkin beer and carried it for 15 minutes while trying to find them, and immediately after patting myself on the back for not spilling a drop, dropped the whole cup. Stood there and looked at it for a full 5 seconds, then moved along. Classic where the hell is my beer face when I found her.

Back to Opa, an IPA, then home. She drove. less than 2 1/2 hours roundtrip. The food looks pretty gross to me, tey used to have stuff I like, syrian grinders, but those days are long gone, and now the food vendors just try to out decadent the year before.

In high school i worked for my uncle who was a produce wholesaler. We had the Big E produce account and I had to deliver hand trucks of baking potatoes through the crowds. Nightmare.

For teh recordzzz, I am totally down with that. A whole bucket of warm mini cider donuts covered in maple sugar and bacon bits? Sign me up! Eating a huge turkey leg like a Flinstones character while I walk around? Fuck yeah. Fried everything? YUP!- actually give me two of everything and better fry it an extra time just for good measure haha. For me the Big E is about borderline disgustingly over the top foods that are horrible for me. I don't normally eat like shit but when I do I go huge and always stomp the landing on uphill ice. What can I say? I'm gross sometimes.

I only draw the line at fried Kool-Aid. Dafuckouttahere with that shit.

You have to stare at it. It's a respect thing.

Dude I freakin' WISH. That guy was the man! I bet he's at the retirement home right now popping one-handed wheelchair J-turns.

Does anyone have anything solid on Barker's plans (assuming the sale isn't revived)? Had a pretty sobering conversation today that intimated the mountain opening this winter is far from certain, regardless of what's been communicated (to the extent that communication is the right word) online or elsewhere. Basically I think it's going to take a decent financial commitment from him, especially if we don't get lucky with weather, and I'm not sure there's any certainty that he'll come through. Obviously I'm hoping someone will tell me that this is not the case...

Oh boy^^^^ valid questions but not sure it's the proper forum. Literally, I found out about the shareholder blowup online and that was it. Hoping for the best.

Well, I don't know about which forum is appropriate for these questions, but these questions come from speaking with others (including some in direct, recent contact with Barker) who have also been left in the dark.

Bottom line for me is that if there are answers to be given then we should know--one way or another. Don't see what purpose is served by having all this mystery about what's going to happen and what his real plans are. Hopefully this can all be easily, definitively be put to bed with a simple response from Barker's people...

Yeah, I was aware that I was breaking protocol (again), but fuck that shit...if it's raining out I don't need to hear about how it might snow at the top if the temperature just drops 20 degrees...Really I just want to know if anyone has any clue at all about what's really happening, because there is absolutely some contradictory information floating around.

I'd like some reassurance before laying down cash for a season rental. The window is closing and there's an economy beyond the ski area to be considered.
