Does anyone have the 411 on what happened?

Will there be a 15'/'16 Magic Shitshow thread?

There will be, supposedly. Apparently it's back to last year's shitshow which means no/minimal upgrades from last year (although it seems that at least we'll have both chairs running this year). It would also seem a number of people got screwed in this, but I haven't heard directly from those involved so...regardless, teh suck.

    Take a lap, almost everyone.

They're both certified (which was the issue last year) and having work done on them, so yes, I think Magic may be the only area in the country that will have more than doubled it's uphill capacity this year.

Thanks for the update Dexter, I guess if operationally it just stayed the same a last year and had the same snowfall then all is ok. They better get moving on an unloading area for black, that looked like a long drop up top last time I was there.

What's left of my Save Magic shirt after a bike accident Thursday morning, thanks (for real!) to the EMT's getting down to business. Learned later that day in a Percocet haze the mystery deal is no more. Strange but true. Damn.

    From what I saw today...

All but a few of the Red chairs have been re-hung. I didn't walk up to the Black chair but it appears all of those chairs have been hung. Good news. A couple of years ago, Red was (in Liftie Dave's own words) "completely fucking dismantled, man" into November.

A few of the people involved in the "deal" from both sides were present and ignored each other. The buying group hasn't completely given up but the posts on FB make it seem the current owners aren't interested in continuing the "deal".

On another note, Magic is back to posting nonsense on FB that would be canon fodder for a local John Stewart wannabe.

Killer day on the hill. Fuck all the negativity and butthurt, I'm just glad we came together to get the stoke train rolling again.

The run we made today is pure tits. Perfect spacing and awesome middle of the road sustained pitch that goes for days. Nice and wide too. Even multiple exits! I'm on cloud 9 just thinking about skiing it now. Big thanks to the Maggot dream team that showed up- Lynchy, GetAmped, KRP and kokomas with a few non-mags for good measure.

No bueno about the bike accident, ts. I hope you made out better than the shirt and will be ready to ski come winter.

So bummed we didn't get over to the fair again this year. Note to DoWork..please check the Peru Fair schedule when setting up work days. I know you want to go also!

I walked the tree shot that was worked on today with DoWork and krp a coupla weeks ago. It's everything DoWork said and then some. If anybody wants to come work to expand another killer run on the off week (10/3) lemme know.

Right?! It's looking great in there. Could use some chainsaw work for those few big'uns down below the cliff section but it looks great otherwise.

Yup, I get stitched together next week (clavicle needs more metal apparently) and should be good to go by ski season.

And a new tree run at Magic is great incentive - though I always find a new tree run whenever I ski there!

Glad to hear you're alright and going to be good for the season! You should try to get a screw or loose fragment to toss in the fire at Ullrfest haha

I am going to make it down there this year and am counting on you to show me the new stashes and share the Trillium/Wormtown goods!

He's only skiing in Colorado this year. He might not know where the new stashes are.

Went up today and did some upgrades to one of last year's best new lines with Kokomas and a few non-mags. It won't be called NoExit 2 any more.

I left TH out intentionally as not to call attention but as a fellow head, I know he will share...especially being that he is now a VT'er.
