What are you riding for 05-06?

Though I'm itching to pull the trigger on a new Giant Reign, I will have to remain happy with my current steed - 2002 Giant AC Air Lite - blue/white color scheme with a new black rear triangle. Giant warrantied the rear triangle after I cracked it at the end of last season. Maybe I'll try to break the frame this season for a full warranty replacement!

Anyway, the specs: RS Psylo SL (black) fork, RS SID Air shock, Hayes Comp 6" discs, Thomson post, Titec El Norte Stem (31.8), FSA FR270 31.8 bars, Shimano 519 disc wheels, XTR rear/XT front, RF bottom bracket, Race Face Turbine cranks, WTB Mutanoraptor (2.4) F and Motoraptor (2.5) R.

Still trying to find a road bike for my wife, and I'm gonna slap some slicks on the Giant and try to keep up with her!

Haha same thing as the last year and the year before, pretty much. I love my bike quiver.

-2000 Spec FSR DH (Oh gourd I love this frame) w/ Boxxer, Hayes, Michelin comp32 front and 2.2 comp16 in the back. Tires are so key for downhill.
-2003 Cortina Triton DS w/ Psylo, Avids, old school XT, single 32t ring w/ tensioner etc. With a 16" seatpost and a long ass Thomson seatpost this is my trailbike. The tt is long enough that it has workable xc geometry.
-2002 (?) S&M Holmes 20" Now finally pimped w/ Odyssey race fork and custom V-brake mounts.

If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Gotta love the ski/bike quiver threads- I'm too poor for a quiver.

I ride a Cannondale Chase II for everything from street riding, getting to work in the summer, dirt jumping, trails and downhill... my little steed seems to be quite versatile!
    Believe.

snow_slider, you're down to 2 bikes? Didn't you have like 30 or something last year?

I need to get out your way and do some riding. Really need someone to point out the "why" portion of "why I suck at mtb'ing."

Yeah, the wife made me pare down the stable a bit. Two's enough though. I haven't been out on the mountain bike yet this season, so I'll be in pretty sorry shape for riding too. Perhaps we can both figure out why the "Ys".

I'm up for rinding anytime. We'll probably start the Wednesday evening rides soon too. You're more than welcome to join us. Usually a group of 4-8 riders at a mix of levels.

    Mtb: Santa Cruz SuperLight
    Road: Trek Madone

Want something a little more freeridy than the SuperLight (like an ASX or something) but probably won't swap that out until late summer.

Telenator - ahhh, the SC Tazmon...love that frame! I loved mine - incredible geometry. I eventually sold it to a gentleman in Hawaii who had like 2 others and wanted a spare. I miss that bike...

edit: and i agree, a road bike would be nice!

Cervelo Soloist Team. DA-10 with Mavic Ksyrium SL's. Haven't been able to motivate myself to get off that and onto my mountain bike (Kona Dawg Primo). I'm addicted to the road.

Great frame handles smoothish singletrack wonderfully. It just can't keep up with the newer frames though. Especially with a 225lb person who really wished disk brakes were a possiblity.

Serial number 182 (The Tazmon was SC's first commercially produced frame), purchased from Telegasm three years back and built with a full XT drive train

A beat-up '02 Kona Bear that rattles like a chinese motorcycle.

I like a bike that can do everything so if I decide my budget can withstand it, I might pick up something like a Transition Preston. My only reservation about that bike is that it seems a bit heavy for what it is.

    Road:
98 Huffy Tempas, specs: squeeky rusticles, shiny kickstand

    Mountain:
    04 specialized rockhopper

Hopefully these will somehow fill the void in in my life after April 17th.
    An unforgettable season.
