I've been thinking about buying a camera for my girlfriend for some time now. She's taken a few photography classes in the past and definitely has an eye for good shots but she's lacking a decent camera. After hours of searching and reading, it seems like the T2i would make the perfect camera for a variety of reasons:
1) From what I can tell, it's good camera to learn on and grow into
2) Inexpensive. She doesn't care about having the latest and greatest model. The T2i seems to give incredible bang for the buck
3) Fits her needs. She'll be using it mostly for landscapes with a few action shots mixed in as well
4) I've seen it used and recommended by some great photographers here
5) Video capability. This is merely a nice to have function. Not necessary for what she'll be using it for
Unfortunately, the Canon Loyalty Program never seems to have the T2i in stock. However, I've found a few bodies with an 18 - 55 mm kit lens with a shutter count under 8k for $300 - $350. How competitive are those prices? Is anyone here thinking of selling one?
