It took a minute for me to digest this. Pretty incredible and basically gave me chills.

My heart goes out to you and your family.

Dantheman...I owe you a beer or bourbon wine or a combo of all 3. I listened to this podcast and I would recommend it to ANYONE who gets bad news from a prostate biopsy. Between this podcast and the massive amount of info in 3 hrs, I then had a visit with a Dr at the Fred Hutch Cancer center at the U of W ( I might have to get a husky jersey) I will be cancelling my laser treatment and going on active monitoring. PSA test every 6 months, yearly MRI.s In short, the preventative treatments all had worse side effects than my cancer as long as it is watched and stays contained to the prostate.

    Again, Thank You Thank You.

I'm sorry about what you and your dad and your mom are going through, Abraham.
I almost wish my kids hated me so that when I go they can just be glad the old bastard is gone. We pay a heavy price for love.

In the good news department, Ms TBS got the results back from her first mammogram after treatment

    No Evidence of Disease.

Back to the usual annual cycle going forward.

Go fund me for a local family that just got devastating news:

    https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-supp...ource=customer

    imagine.

It will be impossible for him to work during these difficult times. That also means I will not be able to work the days he's in treatment as I will need to be with him for support. All of his family is in Colombia and unable to be here. Which makes it even more difficult for both of us.

Any donation of funds will be used to pay for medical treatments, traveling, lodging, meals and everyday expenses. I never thought in a million years that I would have to start a GoFundMe to help us in a fight against cancer but here we are.

Jhon said this cancer will take me to my knees but it won't take me out. He's been a pillar of strength and positivity, I admire him so much.

We appreciate all of the outpouring of love and support in our time of need. Keep the positive vibes and prayers coming...

I’m convinced Bill Gates needs to reconsider his charitable funding and consider funding causes like the above^^^^as I’ve mentioned before. Being out of work for treatment also often takes out both working parents as one becomes a caregiver. It’s devastating emotionally and financially. Cancer research funding is obviously important but so is supporting those going through treatment.

NED news - happy for you TBS

Wife did her first post-chemo/surgery/radiation ultrasound mammogram and received the same great news - NED.

As TBS said, do not let your wife miss her mammograms. My wife skipped them for years and it almost cost her life. Pester them to make the appointment and do everything you can to make sure they get the mammogram done.

I failed to make sure she my wife got hers done and I will regret it for the rest of my life!

Passed my blood work and scans today. Two years ago got diagnosed. Feel pretty good, didn't feel like I had cancer before the testing, felt reasonably strong on my bike, in an ok head space. Fear/anxiety/depression is always there, ebbs/flows, but that's life I guess.

Time to relax and live again.

Hope all those affected by cancer are finding peace where they can.
