Just wanted to post an update. I am in CLE for my pops. He is in the ICU after a tripple bypass. That along with Michele I have my hands full.

M is sore and tired but pushing through it. She is still walking every day. That coupled with drinking lots of water. She is determined to beat this.

keep positive, FYC - a lot on your plate & mind.... I know your support means a lot to both your wife & dad!

Our neighbor had breast cancer & about day 3 and 4 after chemo were her worst. I would go check in on her during the day to make sure she was eating, etc. (while her family was at work/school)... she was just too exhausted to take care of herself on those days. Thinking of you guys

One day at a time, or one foot...something like that. Keep after it, anyway. Good on M waking up and killing some cancer every day.

Just got my 1 year scan a couple weeks early, nothing to see here. Hoping for the same for you all!

Update on pops. He is still in the ICU in critical but stable condition. There are multiple issues after his tripple bypass. The CLE clinic is the best place in the nation for his cardiovascular care.

    Big FU to Cancer.

Lost a friend today to lung cancer that came back after 3 years of remission. This time it took over real fast.

Thankfully I got to see him today before he passed.

My wife and kids are a mess, he was a big part of our lives.

Time to step up and be there for his kids, young adults thankfully, and his wife.

I’m sure Big Jim is trying to get a cribbage or bridge game going wherever he is now.

    FU Cancer.

    RIP Big Jim

Ruby had a scan yesterday. Same as last time, largest tumor is stable at <5% of its maximum size, small tumors all basically gone, no sign of new tumors. They're not even sure if what they can see of the big one is even still tumor tissue, it could be scar tissue or similar. No plans to biopsy it yet as it's a major procedure to get in there. The neuromuscular side effects she was experiencing from the entrectinib seem to have eased, so continuing treatment with that for now. Great news.

Not so good news, my Mom lost a close long-time friend to ovarian cancer last week. Early 60s, grandkids, good health otherwise. Too soon.

Good news and bad. It's nice to hear some good, but I feel bad for your mom and her friends' family.

Fuck cancer, and especially ovarian cancer.

Chemo day 2 today for M. I was by her side as she received the treatment. I can say that she is a strong woman that is determined to be around to see our daughter grow up. I am so proud of her.

Checking in as I had my final chemo yesterday. What a deep relief. Mandatory three-week wait to start radiation to gain strength, white blood cell count, etc. Then 30 sessions over 6 weeks, but they tell me, compared to chemo, side effects of radiation are minimal. So I'll be riding my bike, putting in the veggie garden, and getting stronger. Back in February I signed up for Pierre's Hole (one lap) with the intention of just starting it. Now my intention is to finish, and if I get as strong as last year, I'll aim to podium again. Fuck cancer!

And go M, I'm pulling for you, girl.
