So in another thread I just spouted the virtues of iRiver's players, but unfortunately I am poor (and cheap) so as an interim measure I purchased a sony cd player from wallyworld that plays mp3/atrac3 cd's. With Sonic Stage you can encode atrac3plus files that supposedly have the same sound quality at 64kbps as mp3's have at 128kbps. My question is, is this really true? Anyone know if this format is worthwhile? I do like the idea of being able to store 20 hrs of music on 1 cd.
