Thumbs up the true endless wave

If anybody out there wants to see a perfect 8ft(on the face)grinding wave that breaks 24 hours a day 7 days a week for 3 weeks in January every year then go to this website- www.playboatingnorthwest.com
you will see a surfer(not a kayaker) riding this wave.
You can see video of this wave(not the picture below) at this website- www.surfrivers.com - click on Video #1

The thread title had me thinking you were gonna post some pics of Chicama - regarded as the longest, most consistent left on the planet:

Kayak surfing a river was in the fastest you'll ever go "without moving". I kayak and board surf (better at kayaking) and can tell you standing wave are pretty exciting.

    Thumbs up I wonder.

I just put this out there so surfers can see it. it seems funny that everybody is more stoked to talk about other waves that are not related to this topic. yes i know about the point break and yes i know about the pororoca wave(one of my best friends helps red bull put on the event) ....and yes both of these waves are INSANE!
But is their anybody out there that is looking for a new adventure?
    Just wondering?

    Riversurf-

I am stoked about your insight on river surfing. Being from Wyoming, our options of surfing are limited (other than traveling thousands of miles which I am forced to do). I have not got into river surfing YET, but plan to start checking out some of our local breaks on the Snake River. Have you surfed the Lunch Counter on the Snake in Jackson Hole?

    Keep up the stoke!

Lunch Counter at the right level can be really silly. saw guys try to surf Kahuna and Kings wave on the Snake but they were not successful.

    Yes to Lunch

Yes I have surfed the lunch counter wave. As a matter of fact it was the first river wave i ever saw. back around '87 body glove put out a video of the Jim Hogan area team surfing it. i rode it in 2003. the best water level is 10,000 to 11,000 cfs.
the website as been updated with a bunch of videos- www.surfrivers.com
Also check out Surfing magazine july issue for a good river surf feature.

I like it. If no one was willing to try new things, I wouldn't be kitesurfing today. Keep up the good work.
