They should have complied with everything the cops asked and all could have been avoided....oh, wait a minute. What a bunch of asshats. When he is telling his story, a number of officers all agreed he belonged behind bars. Brilliant. Maybe there's financial incentives to put people behind bars?
I almost chuckled when he began, at 4:29,(paraphrasing) "For both of us to be treated like this, at gun point and to be hand cuffed and humiliated on the side of the freeway..." I was waiting for him to say "like a black person". He actually said "why should that have to happen to anybody".
As far as an act of violence is concerned, pointing a gun at someone is certainly an act of violence. I know a kid that had a small pocket knife in their back pack at school. They were suspended for 1 week. Faced expulsion. In one of the meetings, it was read in to the record that having a (pocket) knife at school is an act of violence. Welcome to zero tolerance and financial rewards when dealing with "criminal" civilians.
