Cop #1 sees Black Man armed with gun, but not pointing it at anyone, and is not threatening anyone. So Cop #1 calmly talks to Black Man. Cop #2 shows up and shoots Black Man in the back, killing him. Cop #1 is fired for not shooting Black Man who was not a threat.

It's pretty clear that the police response to the concern over unjustified homicide by cop is to double down on the violence. Given all the scrutiny one would think police would reconsider their actions, but apparently not. This situation is going to continue to escalate. Hopefully, blacks and others who are justifiably enraged, will not return the violence, which will only intensify the repression and quite possibly lead to the election of a law and order president, a la Nixon.

Saw some Native Americans on the Interstate passing through Bozeman headed east the other day to that pipeline protest. Beat to shit 1967 Pontiac Bonneville with about 8 people passing around a big blunt towing a huge 20-person war canoe on an a very sketchy trailer.
