Police interactions with dogs are really a perfect metaphor for their behavior overall. They respond to a situation like a dog coming out of a house with lethal force. We have all been in that situation and I doubt any of us have responded with shots. A threat that is routinely dealt with by mail carriers requires lethal force. Then instead of apologizing the coward and his union defend their actions because they think they are always justified and never do anything wrong.

Could have killed the woman easily with a richochet.

No shit! Correct me if I'm wrong. They were supposed to meet at the top of high boy. The cowardly little welch got scared and never even made it past piss pass. His own pictures prove it. So pay attention yourself or better yet don't stick your nose where it doesn't belong.

Absolutely. Police killing dogs are "devastated" at the "tragic" deaths. Meanwhile non-police are charged with felonies.

    Puggle lives matter
Police say a dog died after it was left in a hot car outside a northern Virginia pet store on a day when temperatures in the region hit 100 degrees. Fairfax County police say officers and fire personnel called to a PetSmart in Falls Church around noon Monday for a report of a dog locked in a vehicle found the 5-year-old puggle in distress.

They tried to cool down the dog and took it to a veterinarian's office in the store, where police say the dog was pronounced dead. Police say the dog's owner, 19-year-old Megan Campbell of Falls Church, is charged with felony animal cruelty. http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/v...-dies-40883561

    Lab lives don't matter

K9 Totti died after accidentally being left inside of a vehicle following a training exercise at State Correctional Institute Rockview in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania.

Totti's handler had placed training items inside the vehicle. Approximately two hours later he realized that Totti was still int he car and returned to it. He attempted to cool Totti and then took the dog to a veterinary clinic, where Totti died several hours later. Totti was assigned to the Pennsylvania Department Correction's Drug Interdiction Unit.
    https://www.odmp.org/k9/1615-k9-totti
    the fallout:

Following Totti’s death, the director of the Drug Interdiction Unit met with all handlers to review the care and handling of dogs to ensure this does not happen again. The director is looking into new technology/safeguards to prevent this type of tragedy from occurring again.http://fox43.com/2016/07/12/police-k...ning-exercise/
    a dramatic tragedy:
BOILED ALIVE Specially trained police drug dog Totti tragically dies after being left in hot car for over two hours
The handler tried to cool down the trapped pup after it was released from the motor but it was too late

Just kidding, labrador lives DO matter:

Mon, 02 Sep 2013 21:05:03 GMT — A two-year-old labrador died in a hot car at the State Fair Monday. State Police say the animal was left in the vehicle sometime after 10:00 a.m. State Police arrested 66-year-old Patrick J. O'Neil of Massena for leaving his female labrador for more than four hours in his car while he was at the State Fair.

State Police were called to the Red Cross parking lot across from the Fairgrounds just after 2pm on Monday afternoon on a reported animal cruelty abuse. Upon arrival, Troopers observed a male standing over a black labrador who was seizing and barely breathing. Troopers tried cooling down the dog with water and ice, but it died at the scene. The outside air temperature Monday was in the mid-80's.

O'Neil was arrested on the Agricultural and Markets Law - Section 353, a class "A" misdemeanor.

Speaking of Labrador, is this DD v. birdhunter thing going down in Pio's district?

If so it could be a golden opportunity for Jimmy to show up with a bullhorn and point out that Labrador is not tough on violent crime.

I watched a mail carrier here the other day approach a house and the dogs were going nuts. I thought the worst, turns out the dogs were excited because the mail carrier was usually carrying treats for them. She handed them the treats and then opened the gate and then delivered the mail on the front steps..

Cops should be smarter than letter carriers.

    K9 Ledger died in May
K9 Ledger died of heat exhaustion inside of his handler's patrol car while it was parked outside of the La Salle County Courthouse.

His handler had left the vehicle running, in accordance with policy, while conducting business inside the courthouse. When he returned outside he noticed that the vehicle was no longer running and he found K9 ledger on the driver's floor board with his head on the gas pedal. It was later determined that the vehicle had run out of gas, causing it to turn off. The vehicle had been driven approximately 100 miles since it had been filled up previously. The vehicle's heat alarm system did not operate once the engine stopped running.

Ledger had served with the La Salle County Sheriff's Office for one year.

    K9 Inca died in June
K9 Inca died after being accidentally left in his handler's cruiser at the end of their shift.

The handler had lent his regular canine-equipped cruiser to another officer who was having mechanical issued and drove a different cruiser home that was not equipped with a heat alarm. When he arrived home he went inside to tend to another dog. He discovered Inca deceased in the cruiser approximately three hours later.

K9 Credo was shot by police in June
K9 Credo was shot and killed while deployed at a barricade situation involving a man wanted in connection with shooting several other people.

Credo was assisting the agency's SWAT team in the 2800 block of East 15th Street when the subject came out of the apartment and aggressively charged at officers. Credo was deployed to stop the man, at which point he pulled out a knife. Officers on scene fire at the subject, fatally wounding him and Credo.

Credo was transported to a nearby veterinary clinic where he died a short time later.

K9 Credo had served with the Long Beach Police Department for two years as a patrol and narcotics detection canine.

    K9 Rex died in June
K9 Rex died after after his handler unintentionally left him in a patrol car in McAllen, Texas, at the end of their shift.

Rex's handler discovered him unresponsive in the patrol car as outside temperatures were above 90 degrees.

    The list goes on.

Yes, all those K9's died at the hands of their (mis)handlers, but the thing is, those Officers felt really, really bad and thats punishment enough. All those other common "citizen" dogs were most likely M. Brown supporters and got whats coming.

Cop gets 2.5 years for manslaughter. Wife says he fantasized about shootings.

Social worker calls police to request another officer. When she says that the officer is harassing her he takes out his cuffs and arrests her, charges her with resisting arrest. Police Chief says that while the video looks bad, after they spoke with the officer his actions were justified.

The fun part about that case: cop shot dead another unarmed black guy a few years prior to that murder. For the recent one, witness says the kid square off in boxing stance and was shot twice from 5 yards. Officer says kid charged him but witness doesn't corroborate that. Cop just blasted him because he didn't feel like taking risk.

Her offense was crossing a solid white line. Why does the officer approach her with his handcuffs in his hand for a traffic offense?
