"Person of Interest" does not mean "suspect." He was just someone that they wanted to talk to and couldn't find. There is a suspect in custody according to Dallas Police.

My point was more that there are people walking around with big fucking guns. What if he decided he was a "good guy with a gun" and started shooting at someone he thought was a "bad guy" like the NRA keeps claiming needs to be the case? WTF would have happened then?

Any rifle ammo will go through level 3 armor. It doesn't even need a steel core. Even a common hunting bullet like .243 would no problem. Soft armor is designed for hand gun rounds.

Regardless of what was used, whoever did this was well trained and had some kind of plan well before the event. It will be interesting to see the details unfold - my bet will be these guys will have some kind of military or police training.

first person shooter. Just aggressive as hell and willing to die. If you're quicker to the punch 1 on 1, you win. Just what happened to the cop, he was out maneuvered. Outgunned as well, the velocity of an AR round causes massive cavitation.

I'm assuming that is one of the 'active shooters' and the guy in blue/black is a cop. I'm assuming that guy in the blue/black is also shot (maybe dead) from the video. Just on this video and not knowing anything else I'm guessing MPPG's assertion that it's a 50/50 bet that it's a white guy trying to start a race war is about as accurate as his assumption early on that the Boston Bombing was a white guy. Come on man, you seem to be a decent guy, but you're batting .000 on these incidents.
