Can't let due process gum up the works of the security state.

There's a similar law in Utah. Brady/Giglio (refers to the two cases that created the case law) requires that when an officer who has lied in an investigation goes to court to testify, everyone involved in the case is required to be told about the fact that the officer was caught lying. Pretty much removes all credibility from the officer's testimony, as it should. Lying is a fireable offense in many departments.

Sacramento PD tell Stepon Clark protesters to disperse. As people start to leave they are herded on to a bridge blocked by cops at both ends and arrested, despite telling the police they were trying to disperse as ordered. A reporter with credentials among those arrested.

Police Launch Probe After Black Man Detained For Picking Up Trash At His Home

Boulder police on Monday launched an internal investigation after video surfaced of multiple officers confronting a black man who was picking up trash at his own house.

According to a news release, a Boulder police officer observed a man sitting in a partially enclosed patio area behind a “private property” sign in the 2300 block of Arapahoe Avenue at 8:30 a.m. Friday and asked if the man was allowed to be there.

The man told the officer he lived and worked in the building, and gave the officer his school identification card, but the officer detained the man to investigate further.

The officer then made a request over the radio for additional assistance to respond, saying the man was uncooperative and unwilling to put down a blunt object. Several other officers, including a supervisor, responded.

Police found the object the man was holding is a device used to pick up trash, and officers left the area.

Why not just have another successful Beer Summit?

    Problem solved.

Stage four pancreatic cancer accused of smoking marijuana in hospital. Missouri. They found no marijuana. Only cbd which is legal in Missouri. I should have the right to choose my end of life medications

Yep, what else do you expect from LEO's in Missouri? I'd tell them to GTFO of my hospital room and consult with the physicians first to see if there is even probable cause.

Trust me, hospital security is second best to a mall security officer. Not terribly bright.

So they smelled cannabis, big deal. They probably had no idea what they were even looking for. Patient probably had a pen and these dipshits were probably looking for a baggie.

Tow truck driver said he spotted the wife with a gun. She has a felony drug charge. They searched the place and their rental units. A tenant had a gun so they arrested her then dropped the charges. Fucking Oklahoma.

In this case I would guess the cops were not happy with what they had to do--blame whatever assholes called the cops. Guy should sue the hospital.

re hospital security--at my hospital one of the security guards was a 60 something, about 5'6", no mace, club, gun or anything else to protect himself. The highlight of his career--two FBI agents were investigating something, locked their keys in their car, the security guard slim jimmed the lock for them

And why did they handcuff the guy? Did they have an arrest warrant for him? You don't need to handcuff the occupants to execute a search warrant, which they probably didn't have.

Sounds like the whole town--cops, mayor, town council--is dirty. Bunch of meth heads--haven't they heard that opiates are the thing now.

Given they repeatedly claimed that they had a warrant but didn't produce it, the whole thing reeks of bullshit. A charge doesn't wave warrant requirements. If one of them was on probation that would be different but that's not what those aholes were claiming.
