When cops were no longer allowed to choke people out because they had killed one too many citizens...

Cops turned to beating people into submission and/or death til they got results they wanted until they got caught on videotape nearly killing Rodney...

And then they decide to just say fuck it, shoot first, ask questions later - w an assist from scotus that ruled their only justification needed was their own PERCEPTION of danger...

So, if you take away their free range target practice, they will probably resort to carpet bombing neighborhoods like they did back in Philly.

Cops were originally called because the homeowners young daughter accidentally tripped their home alarm system.

The white dog was obviously approaching the officer in a friendly manner. The black dog was reacting to the shot and it's companion being attacked.

When my son who was housesitting decided to set the alarm with the dogs in the house, no cops showed up to search for burglars or look for someone or something to shoot. They just left phone messages telling me to turn off the alarm. Which shows a lot of brains--they called my landline at the address where the alarm was going off. Did they think I was in the house letting the alarm go off for hours or did they think I wouldn't notice the noise when I came home? Dumber than dumb. Can't say my son was all that bright either.

Old news but--I saw a promo for the upcoming movie "Detroit" about the 67 riots. A black uniformed officer encountered 3 white officers who pointed their guns at him. One told him they were going to kill him. He jumped into his car on the floor of the driver's seat and drove away with one hand on the gas pedal and one on the wheel, blind, as the white officers continued to shoot at him. I think I've already posted about my neighbor who investigated the riot. Several people were killed on the floor of their apartments by 60 cal machine gun fire through the brick walls.

You see, that's the PROBLEM. They could have shot a black girl with a record and nobody would have cared. But now the mayor is upset, and her family has the resources to sue the locality for well into 8 figures.

I want to know why she was every allowed into the country. Immigrants are the real problem. You know the Australians are descendants of prisoners. They are naturally violent.

We should really reserve judgement on the officer. Police have to deal with violent immigrants every day. She never should have approached the car. It was really easy to feel threatened and her cell phone clearly looked like a pistol.

This is all coming from police training. They've adopted training that essentially is aimed at 0 cop fatalities and so their training them to treat every single interaction as a life-or-death situation where a bad actor is trying to kill a cop. The Aussie lady approaching with her cell phone is an assailant with something in her hand (a gun for certain in the training scenarios). The only conclusion that a sane person can arrive at and teach their kids is to never approach a police officer. Stay away from cops in all scenarios until approached and then redundantly keep your hands up, still, empty and in plain site. And if you're black just get on the ground with hands up and don't move.

While I agree black people tend to get shot more, I'd argue this is not a good comparison.

She was not a ccw holder reaching for her gun, she was in her pajamas armed with a cell phone. She's also a foreigner which automatically creates attention from embassies and foreign press weather u like it or not.

this case involves an entire country down under, an anti gun country no less, with politicians and media. If they didn't think we were nuts before, they do now. It will read differently than just "white girl gets justice" over seas.

Shot in the back 8 times on video wasn't enough to get a convoction. Nor hands up walking away and shot in the back. Police have complete immunity. Worst case scenario is they lose their job and get paid to sit at home.
