Xtal may stay open + Xtal conditions 4/8

Crystal will make the call tomorrow (based on crowds) whether to stay open another week beyond 4/10. Judging by today, it looks pretty good--Lot A was full by 9:00, not a bad showing for a late season/weekday/non-pow day.

The King looks like it's hanging on so far but there's been a lot of natural slide activity at lower elevations with the same aspect, so be extra careful out there. It will be interesting to see what it looks like after patrol tosses a bomb or two that way.

I'd guess there was 4-5 inches of new snow over hardpack at the top in bounds. I found soft pow and also death mank. The good snow is in....oops, out of time, gotta go.
I can't understand why people are frightened of new ideas. I'm frightened of the old ones.

    We deserve it!

Hopefully things will run smoother this weekend - understandably after being hibernated the organisation got a little rough around the edges last saturday. The mob in line for lunch on the patio was starting to get rather restless.

Yah, that BBQ idea that they had last weekend was pretty ridiculous. Whoever thought of that idea should be revoked.
