Environmental Engineer in SF @ USEPA

My office and division will be opening up 3-4 GS7/9 Environmental Engineering Positions in the Water Division. Some will be more infrastructure oriented, one will be in the Tribal Clean Water Act office. We travel about 10%, pension, TSP (401kish), benefits, mass transit or cycling reimbursement, Herman Miller Chairs, new Hell laptops, and one of the most generous leave and schedule systems I have heard of in the government. Credit Hours for up to 10 hours a day so you can carry 3 days of credit leave or 4x10hr days like me so you have 3 day weekends every week.

The post will go up on Monday and close Friday night on USA Jobs. Submit a full CV, no holds bared up to 12 pages for the resume. Use every single adjective, noun, and verb in the posting. There is usually a panel interview for all positions and a couple more after that. If you have Noncompetitive Eligibility from Military, Peace Corps, AmeriCorps VISTA, or a former Federal position, MENTION IT! Tribal experience or >25% blood/marriage with a card to match is probably going to help you into my office.

PM me for more details. The work is not demanding but it is rewarding and you can move around in the agency once you have proved yourself.

If you can get me on as a Region 9 attorney, I'm in.

(Only semi-serious because I started a new gig two months ago, but I did apply in June.)

    More

    Wetlands: usajobs.gov lv-r9-de-2015-0002 for gs-819/1301/401 at GS7/9

Superfund: has a posting too but I don't have the number for that. It is GS13, so have superfund management and clean up experience for several years.

That would be fun. I know a few of the attorneys and it is the most laid back job you could have after getting a JD (while using it). I saw a posting a month ago for positions here, but I think that we are pretty limited on hiring. It was probably to backfill one or two positions. I will post any position like that in the future.

Yep. I've heard good things. I appreciate the post offer. I'm not actively looking at the moment, particularly because I like my 35 minute East Bay commute with new twins, but you never know. Enviro/water law is my first love, and employment. Doing general public agency stuff now.
