Another season is apparently here! Nice job, Greg!
I hope ULLR loves p-tex, cuz an awful lot of it gets sacrificed in his name.

Nice to see this years thread arrive right when the snow hits. Spent Friday afternoon getting new boots fit on my funked up feet. Although the last weeks and this coming weeks rain is putting a damper on biking, I'm glad to see that we are getting precipitation again. Just hope it turns to snow soon.

As I was driving back from Greylock yesterday evening, I had a nice phone call with my buddy on the relative safety merits of skiing sub-inch snow "cover" on asphalt road (freshly paved apparently at Whiteface!) vs ski resort dirt/rock work road.
(Overall conclusion seems to be that the former is potentially worst for your ski edges whereas the latter is potentially worse for your knee ligaments.)

Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Natures peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn. - John Muir
