    Quiver Killers with NTN

Looking at mounting two pairs of NTN bindings on one pair of skis using quiver killers and wondering if anybody had success with this. Wanting to be able to use both NTN Freedom and Freeride on the same ski.

I've done this for customers a few times & it works fine as the current wider Freeride mounting locations (13/14 & 14/15 bindings) share six of the same toe holes as the Freedom (with same BSL). The heel support locations are different but one's down the centre line of the ski & the other is across it so there's no conflict.

However, the earlier narrower footprint Freeride won't work with the Freedom.

^^^^ This; the only difference on the toe piece for current gen bindings is the extra screw on the free ride tour lever nose. Piece o' cake.

Not sure if this the earlier narrower footprint freeride? If I add two sets of quiver killers to the ski and move one set forward of where I would idealy want them would this work do people think? Would include photo's or a link but apparently I am not allowed to yet

Just mount the freedoms and be done with it. They ski fine and have plenty of power.

True, but he meant NTN Freedoms are enough; you don't need Freedoms and Freerides on the same ski. I would think that's right, but I wouldn't really know.

I haven't skied the Freedoms, but I can all but guarantee you this is going to be way more trouble than it's worth. Just pick one IMO, unless you want to spend your evenings with a screwdriver and a bottle of loctite.

Yeah precisely ^^^ I have several seasons on freerides and two on freedoms. In my opinion freedoms ski better because you have no/minimal ramp angle (i.e., your heal is about level with your forefoot -- the freeride has much more delta), the stance height is lower, the front of the binding has a ramped toe that makes the binding engage immediately when you start dropping the knee (freedoms have a small dead spot before engaging). Couple that with way better touring functionality, light weight, and a bomber build and I have a hard time seeing why one would choose the freeride over the freedom. YMMV

I have both, on different skis, and did put inserts on one ski early on in the process to keep some options open. Some thoughts on why one would choose Freeride over Freedom:

-- freedom is bomber, freeride is bomberer
-- freeride can easily be swapped from ski to ski by using mounting plates. freedom switching requires inserts - doable but more difficult
-- freeride has stiffer spring options (red springs)
-- for pure lift-served purposes you can ziptie or ducttape the touring lever of the freeride to the toe release lever; on freedom sometimes the little plastic touring mechanism pops up on its own.

And to the OP, yes inserts can easily accomodate the current model Freeride and Freedom, as others posted above. But having done it on a touring oriented fat (for me) ski, I'm glad it's inserted so I could use the Freedoms on another ski, but I'm pretty sure I'll never take the Freedoms off this to replace with the Freeride.

I've done similar projects for past customers.

Honestly, I would put the $$ you'd spend on inserts and installation into another pair of skis.

Turns out could get the new plate for the Freeride that works on the old binding, and shares many of the same holes as the Freedom - worked out well
